Lets be clear, they are not close to being one in the same. Success lies in knowing why to implement a particular program, how to implement progressions/regressions and ensuring the collected data from initial assessments answers the question.

That success has a solid foundational display of motor/movemenT skills, age appropriate strength work to build physical/mental capacity to.
Lastly, youth athletes are not adults and can not be trained as such.
Remember while charts are set for norms there is always those who learn fast in some areas then others!
