Exercise is one of the best ways to get in shape and stay healthy. It helps you look good, feel good, and it repairs your body after time off due to illness or injury. Exercise has many health benefits for everyone. However, it's not enough just to know that exercise is healthy - You need to do it!

The key to exercising regularly is building it into your weekly schedule. Exercise does not have to be complicated, nor should you put too much pressure on yourself by setting unattainable goals or demanding unreasonable results quickly. The simpler you keep things, the better chance you can stay with your plan over time without quitting early.

To help you fit exercise into your busy schedule, first, figure out how many days per week you can commit to exercising. Adopting an exercise routine means prioritizing this part of your schedule and ensuring it fits into what you already do on a typical day. Don't plan to work out after a late night of studying if you already go to bed around midnight every night, for example. If possible, try to put aside time first thing in the morning or right before bed.  This way, exercise is less likely to get pushed aside by unforeseen activities. One of the best ways to start adding exercise to your schedule is to find activities you enjoy. This way, you'll be more likely to stick with it. If you don't already have a favorite workout activity, try exploring new options until you find something that sounds fun. You could take up running, hiking, biking, swimming, or even dancing! Once you've found an activity that interests you, aim to make it a regular part of your week.

The idea of introducing exercise into your schedule may seem daunting, but it doesn't have to be. If you feel like you don't have the time to exercise every day, try committing to three 10 minute walks throughout the week. It may not seem like much, but this is 30 minutes of extra movement you wouldn't usually get. Trying too much too soon can lead to burnout and frustration, which is a surefire way to guarantee that you'll give up on your fitness goals altogether. So if you're finding it hard to get motivated, take a step back and start with a smaller goal that you know you can achieve. Once you've mastered that, then move on to something bigger. This is a topic many people struggle with. It can be challenging to find the time or motivation to get yourself moving, but it’s worth it! If you think about your exercise routine as being just one more thing on your list of things that need to be done for everything else to fall into place, then taking care of yourself will become second nature and not feel like an obligation anymore.
